MAY
Headwaters Golf Course Opening Headwaters, our championship par 72 golf course set within the Fraser Valley will open to a host of events, 18 holes of play along with the largest practice facility within the county. season. This will include a long putt contest, chip of the ball contest and a long drive contest. Meet at 10am at the Pro Shop. Minimal fee will apply.
Memorial Weekend Open House Enjoy the start of summer with a plethora of events. Join your Granby Ranch for the three-day holiday weekend that has something for everyone: golf clinic, mountain bike adventure, wine and cheese social, the annual Member/Member golf tournament, 1st summer neighborhood barbecue, Chef Karl’s pancake breakfast, a family wilderness adventure and a free fly fishing clinic.
JUNE
Family Whitewater Rafting Day Members are invited to a full day adventure, ideal for those who want beautiful canyon scenery and non-intimidating whitewater great for first time boaters ages 4 and older. The trip includes intermediate Class II and III rapids, catered lunch and equipment. Minimal fee will apply. Limited spaces are available.
Father/Son or Daughter Golf Tournament Celebrate Father’s Day! Father’s bring your young Tiger Woods or Anika Sorenstam for a fun-filled day with other Member families. Shotgun will start at 9am for an 18-hole tournament with lunch, prizes and contests. Minimal fee will apply.
Granby Ranch Summer Blast Celebrate the summer with this Family Solstice Festival. Events include a family quest that will take families throughout Granby Ranch and experience adventures along the way, including a face painter, camp crafts, and putting course. Families will converge at Base Camp Lodge for a Get up and Dance concert with the Unknown Americans. Enjoy a gourmet bbq dinner and s’mores by the fire. As the sun begins to set, enjoy the Jackman Brothers fire and light show, followed by the Kids Disco. As the last bit of light fades, enjoy an amazing fireworks show.
Grand Classic Golf Tournament The annual tournament will be held at Headwaters and Pole Creek Golf Courses. A practice round will be on June 26 followed by two days of tournament play at each course. SolVista Base Camp Lodge will host the awards dinner on Saturday evening. The Grand Foundation seeks to improve the quality of life in Grand County by proactively addressing current and future needs in the areas of Health & Human Services, Arts & Culture, Education, Amateur Sports and Environment.
JULY
Fourth of July Celebration Granby ParadeShow your Granby Ranch spirit and join our float in the annual parade. Decorate your bike and dress in red, white and blue for a fun morning in Granby. Meeting time will be announced.Neighborhood BarbecueJoin your fellow neighbors at the holiday barbecue, ice cream social and magic show. Bring your favorite side dish to accompany Chef Karl’s grill specialty. Traditional games to include sack race, toss the water balloon, 3-legged race, hula hoop contests, volleyball and horseshoes. Meet at the golf course event tent at 5pm.
Independence Golf Tournament Continue your Independence week with our holiday golf tournament. There will be contests for best 4th of July costume, longest drive, closest to the pin and putting contest. Shotgun start for the 18-hole event will be at 1pm. Minimal fee will apply.
Equestrian Evening at Snow Mountain Ranch Put on your cowboy boots and hat and bring the family on a 2-hour horseback dinner ride through the beautiful wilderness. Steaks will be grilling with all the fixin’s as everyone gathers around the fire pit. Meet at Sombrero Stables at Snow Mountain Ranch at 4:30pm. Minimal fee will apply.
AUGUST
Mountain States Cup #9 The best race series in the US comes to SolVista Basin. See the most talented riders from the US and abroad compete in Gravity and Endurance disciplines. For more info please visit www.racemsc.com. The full schedule of races and times will be announced.
Member/Guest Golf Tournament The first annual 2-day tournament will start each day at 9am. Two-person, Member/Guest team’s play different formats with many other contests and prizes throughout the weekend. Fee will apply to include lunch and awards party.
Evening at the Stanley Hotel Known for it architecture, magnificent setting and famous visitors, may possibly be best known today for its inspirational role in Stephen King’s novel “The Shining”. The Club will have a special lodging and dining package for Members in beautiful Estes Park.
Family Chili Cook-off Members bring your guests to a grand chili cook-off with all of your friends and neighbors. Enter your signature chili and have our panel of judges award their favorite pick. Join us at the River Camp at 5pm for a plethora of activities such as horseshoes, scavenger hunt and hide and seek.
Mountain States Cup #10 The best mountain bike series in the country returns to SolVista for an exciting weekend of events to include G3 Gravity Stage Race, NRC Gravity Event and the MSC Gravity Series Finale. SEPTEMBER
Labor Day Pancake Breakfast Start off Labor Day with Chef Karl’s pancake breakfast from 9-11am in the dining hall of Base Camp Lodge. Children can enjoy play time with activities outside the lodge. The Quick Draw Express will be in operation from 10am-3pm.
Colorado Rockies Member Day Members join your Granby neighbors in Denver for the exciting Rockies vs. Houston Astros game. Limited seating is reserved in our private Summit Party Suite for the 1:05pm game. Minimal fee will apply.
Fall Color Tour Experience fall colors in their prime on an adventure in Rocky Mountain National Park. A Club hike will start at 10am starting from the Visitor’s Center.
OCTOBER
End of Season Shiver Open Put on your long johns and gloves for the end of season golf tournament. Shotgun start will be at 10am for a fun, casual 18-hole event.
Scotch & Whiskey Tasting Join your Granby Ranch neighbors for an adult evening tasting fine whiskey and scotch and enjoying appetizers. Location will be announced, 7-9pm. Ask about local lodging. Minimal fee will apply.
Denver Museum of Nature and Science Explore the wonders of the universe in Space Odyssey, uncover ancient fossils in Prehistoric Journey, and marvel at the Earth’s spectacular treasures in Coors Gem and Mineral Hall. Club discount will be available to enter the museum and see an IMAX show from 9am-5pm.
Boo at the Ranch Bring your little ghosts and goblins to the Halloween event starting in the Mountain Club with a costume contest, haunted hay ride, games and prizes from 4-8pm. The Seven Trails Grille will be brewing up a boolicious Halloween feast from 6-8pm.
